Fabinho has named Alisson Becker as Liverpool’s best player this season after the Brazilian international kept a clean sheet in the Reds’ 0-0 draw against Chelsea.
Speaking to LFCTV, the former AS Monaco star hailed his South American counterpart after Alisson impressed at Stamford Bridge, with the 30-year-old denying the likes of Joao Felix, Kai Havertz and Enzo Fernandez in a fixture that saw Chelsea dominate in terms of chances.
Whilst Liverpool have endured a difficult season, it’s hard to push much of the blame onto Alisson, who has been playing out of his skin for the majority of the campaign as the likes of Virgil van Dijk and Trent Alexander-Arnold have struggled for consistent form.

And the Brazilian was impressive yet again last night against Chelsea, and for Fabinho, the midfielder was pleased to keep a clean sheet as his international debut once again kept the Reds in the game and helped Jurgen Klopp’s side claim an important point.
Fabinho said on Alisson’s display against Chelsea and his form for Liverpool in general this season: “It’s always good to keep a clean sheet. We have to thank Alisson again. Today we needed Ali to help us and he’s been our best player this season, and he showed again why.”
Alisson will want to take Liverpool further after Chelsea performance

Goalkeepers can only do so much in the grand scheme of things, yet for Alisson, the Liverpool no. 1 will want to push his team to new heights having enjoyed a top performance out in the capital this week, with top-four still very much on the table for the Reds.
Clean sheets will be massive for Liverpool of they’re to make a late surge for the final UEFA Champions League spots, and with Alisson starting to step-up his game, the keeper will want to build from his display against Chelsea with big performances in the coming weeks.
