Rumoured Liverpool target Gabri Veiga could reportedly soon hire Pep Guardiola’s brother to become his agent, a decision which could complicate a potential move to Anfield.
According to the Daily Mail, Pere Guardiola, the brother of Pep, is the leading candidate to take on Veiga as a client at SEG, an agency that represents 600 clients in 25 countries, with the Celta Vigo star quite the talent to sign down for the years to come.
The 20-year-old has been one of the breakout talents in Spain this season with nine goals from midfield in La Liga, and as per the Daily Mail, Liverpool are one of many clubs interested in signing Veiga, who is also wanted by Arsenal, Real Madrid, and of course, Manchester City.
Lauded as ‘spectacular’ by Spain’s U-21 coach Santi Denia, Veiga is a talent with the world at his feet, and his decision to potentially sign for Guardiola’s brother as his agent is a decision that could go a long way in determining his football career.
Indeed, whilst Pere has to be impartial to decisions such as swaying transfers, there’s no denying that Liverpool could now struggle to sign Veiga given who the midfielder might soon be represented by, with the Guardiola name holding significant ties to a certain Premier League rival.
