Liverpool midfielder Naby Keita was missing from first-team training today, despite playing for his country on Monday.
According to Liverpool Echo journalist Keifer MacDonald, the 28-year-old was seemingly absent from training on Thursday, as he wasn’t pictured with his teammates out on the pitches at the AXA Training Centre.

The former RB Leipzig man played 45 minutes for Guinea on Monday night, as they faced Ethiopia in the qualifying rounds for the Africa Cup of Nations.
However, he was hooked off at half-time – perhaps alluding to an injury.
This wouldn’t be a surprise with Keita, as he has spent the vast majority of the season unavailable due to various issues.
Keita not spotted in training
This has pretty much been the story of Keita’s season.
The Guinea international arrived on Merseyside with a lot of promise, joining in a deal worth £48m.
However, despite bags of natural talent, the 28-year-old hasn’t fulfilled his potential at Anfield, as he has spent the majority of his time out injured.

Having made the move in 2018, Keita has made just 129 appearances in the near five years he been at the club.
As he is set to leave the Reds upon the expiry of his contract in the summer, Jurgen Klopp will likely focus his efforts on alternative players.
Thus, he is a serious doubt to be involved against Man City on Saturday.
