Liverpool transfer news: Enzo Le Fee now wants to leave Lorient

Liverpool have been placed on high alert after Reds target Enzo Le Fee revealed he will leave Lorient at the end of the season.

That’s according to FootballTransfers, who claim Jurgen Klopp’s side will rekindle their interest in the player this summer.

Speaking in an interview with Le Telegramme, the 23-year-old shared his intention to depart the Ligue 1 club.

“It’s time for me to leave Lorient,” Le Fee said.

“I will no longer extend the contract.

“I waited for a new proposal in December but then it didn’t arrive. It’s time to go.

“I hope to leave this summer so my transfer brings money to Lorient.”

As a result, FootballTransfers suggest that Liverpool will battle Manchester United in the race to land the Frenchman.

Liverpool interested in signing Le Fee

Le Fee has enjoyed an exceptional season in Ligue 1 this year.

He has made 28 appearances in the division, during which he has scored four goals and provided five assists.

Compared with positional peers across Europe over the past year, the youngster has ranked in the top three percent for successful take-ons, in the top five percent for tackles and the top six percent for shot-creating actions.

Subsequently, he has earned statistical comparisons to Borussia Dortmund star Jude Bellingham and to Newcastle United ace Bruno Guimaraes.

Alike Liverpool maestro Thiago Alcantara, he dictates play in the middle of the park. He is tasked with maintaining possession and facilitating attacks, acting as the playmaker in Lorient’s midfield.

Therefore, with Klopp needing numerous additions this summer, Le Fee could be a brilliant heir to Thiago at Anfield.
