Greek journalist Giannis Chorianopoulos has provided an update on Liverpool left-back Kostas Tsimikas, after he was subbed off last night having sustained an injury.
The 26-year-old was forced off the pitch in the 23rd minute as Greece faced off against Lithuania in a friendly yesterday evening.

The full extent of the injury is yet to be declared, but Chorianopoulos – who was covering the match – shared an update on the Reds defender on Twitter.
“Tsimikas is out after 23 minutes at the Greece v Lithuania friendly match,” he wrote.
“Right rib problem. Seems not serious”.
Tsimikas’s injury isn’t serious
Although Tsimikas isn’t one of the first names on Jurgen Klopp’s team sheet, he provides excellent cover for Andy Robertson.
The ‘Greek Scouser’ has made 14 Premier League appearances so far this season, however, only six of these have come from the starting XI.
The Scotsman, on the other hand, has retained his place at left-back, having played 23 top-flight matches, having been subbed on just three times.

However, at times, Robertson has looked off the pace – probably largely attributed to fatigue. This has provided Tsimikas with the opportunity to impress the manager, as he looks to fight his way into the starting XI.
Thus, with rotation ever so important, the Greek’s injury will have come as a scare for Klopp.
However, if it isn’t deemed a serious issue, as Chorianopoulos suggests, this will be a huge relief for Liverpool.
