Northern Ireland goalkeeper Bailey Peacock-Farrell has tipped a bright future for Liverpool youngster Conor Bradley after the defender’s recent international performances.
Speaking to the Belfast Telegraph, the Burnley shot-stopper was full of praise for the 19-year-old fullback after a string of impressive displays for Northern Ireland in this month’s international break, with Bradley being named Man of the Match last night against Finland.
Spending this season out on loan with Bolton Wanderers, Bradley is regarded by many as one of Liverpool’s most exciting talents, with the teenager making five appearances for Jurgen Klopp’s side last season as the right-back this weekend prepares for the EFL Trophy final at Wembley Stadium.
With Northern Ireland undergoing something of a golden generation under Michael O’Neill, Bradley is being viewed as a shining light for the Green and White Army, and for Peacock-Farrell, the sky is the limit for the Liverpool defender in the years to come.
The 26-year-old said: “Every time I see Conor play he gets better and better and he looks so assured even at international level. Him bombing up and down and having that composure at his age is really good to see and I’m excited to see where he ends up next year.”
Peacock-Farrell later added: “I feel like Liverpool give their players chances. This season he’s obviously got his game time elsewhere, and then I think there’s no limit to a young player of his ability.”
Peacock-Farrell right to be excited by Bradley’s future
Liverpool’s academy has been incredible in recent years at producing talents, and Bradley could easily be another player who features for the Reds for many years to come, with Peacock-Farrell right to be excited by his international teammate’s future.
As we know, Bradley has excelled with Bolton this season in League One, and with the defender now taking his talents to the international stage, there’s no telling how far the right-back can go once he returns to Liverpool, where he could provide good competition for Trent Alexander-Arnold.
