Mason Mount is reportedly aware that Liverpool are interested in signing him this summer, with Jurgen Klopp believed to be a massive fan of the England international.
According to journalist Simon Phillips, the 24-year-old Chelsea star knows of the Reds’ interest in his services, with Mount heavily tipped to leave west London in the transfer window amid growing interest from the likes of Liverpool and Newcastle United.
However, Klopp’s side could have the advantage in the race to land Mount, the Guardian report would be available for £50m this summer, a deal that Liverpool could look to pursue as the Anfield side looks to overhaul their midfield options in the market.

Phillips said on Mount’s situation: “Liverpool are the most interested club in trying to sign Mount. Klopp really wants him and they’ve kind of put him as one of their priorities going forward this summer if he’s available. They’ve made Mount aware of their interest. It’s not to say he’s keen on going there, but I think he could easily go there.”
Indeed, this update could be significant in Liverpool’s race to sign Mount, with the England star seemingly keen on a move to Merseyside if Klopp’s team were to make an opening offer for the Chelsea man, who looks increasingly likely to leave the British capital.
Liverpool could soon be in the clear to sign Mount

Mount moving to Liverpool seems to become more likely with each passing week, and the Reds could soon find themselves in the clear to sign the Chelsea playmaker, especially with the player know aware of Klopp’s interest to bring the talent up north.
With Liverpool in need of fresh faces and at least three midfielders leaving the club this summer, Mount is the perfect name to come in and fill a role that no player in the current Reds squad can operate in, with the 24-year-old also an ideal fit for Klopp’s style of play.
