Liverpool youngster Conor Bradley has earned a rave review following his performance for Northern Ireland last night.

Bradley played the full 90 minutes as NI beat San Marino 2-0 to kick off their Euro 2024 qualifying campaign. Two goals from Bradley’s Bolton Wanderers teammate Dion Charles settled the match.

And although Charles understandably took top billing in Belfast Live’s player ratings, Liverpool’s on-loan right-back wasn’t far behind him.

Scoring an eight out of ten, Bradley is said to have ‘terrorised’ the San Marino defence. The teenager goes on to be described as being ‘a real threat’ throughout.

Now into double figures for senior caps and enjoying an excellent season at Bolton, Bradley is going from strength to strength. Keep it going, Conor!

Bradley continues promising rise

Anyone who has been tracking Bradley’s progress this season won’t be surprised to read this. The young full-back has taken his temporary home by storm this season.

He’s only missed four League One games all season as the Trotters push for a play-off spot. At just nineteen, in his first proper campaign in men’s football, that’s really, really promising.

Four goals and fours assists in 34 games is also encouraging. At a time when Liverpool are still trying to find a permanent back-up for Trent Alexander-Arnold, Bradley’s doing his cause no harm at all.

Indeed, it will be interesting to see who Jurgen Klopp favours as Trent’s number two going into next season.

Calvin Ramsay appeared to have a leg up in that race at the beginning of the campaign. But the year could hardly have gone worse for the Scotsman. Injury has restricted him to just two first team appearances. Meanwhile Bradley has excelled in senior football.

As a result, it’s not inconceivable that Liverpool place a little more trust in the Northern Irishman instead. Every time he’s been asked to make a step up, he’s managed it. The way things have gone for Ramsay, you could see a loan in the offing for him next season. It would be a big jump for Bradley to bridge, but he looks capable of it.
