Don Hutchinson has said that there is a strong chance that Liverpool could sign Mason Mount this summer, with the Chelsea star heavily linked with a move to Anfield in recent weeks.
Taking to Twitter, the pundit revealed that he has heard rumours that the England international could be heading to Liverpool in the upcoming transfer window, with Football Transfers reporting that Mount himself is keen on a move to Merseyside amid interest from Jurgen Klopp.
I heard a Cheeky rumour yesterday that Mason Mount to Liverpool this summer is strong… …. …

Mount has endured a difficult season with Chelsea as the midfielder has battled through his worst campaign yet as a Premier League player. And the 24-year-old could now be set to leave west London, with Liverpool seemingly the favourites to sign the Portsmouth-born talent.
Indeed, whilst Mount would be an expensive signing for Liverpool, with the Guardian reporting that Chelsea could demand as much as £50m for the England star, there’s a lot to suggest that the playmaker could flourish under Klopp, who is in the market for multiple midfielders this summer.
And with Hutchinson now hearing that a move could be in the works, the coming weeks could be an interesting one for Liverpool supporters, who could soon see the Reds make an official bid to sign Mount in a deal that could be a massive win for the Anfield giants.
Liverpool signing Mount could be one of the deals of the summer
It’s easy to forget just how good a play Mount can be on his day, with the Cobham academy graduate playing a key role in Chelsea’s 2021 UEFA Champions League triumph as well as being a huge part of Gareth Southgate’s success as England manager. And Liverpool could land a bargain in the playmaker.
Whilst a deal will be expensive, Mount could be exactly what Klopp needs to refresh his midfield options, with a Premier League-proven playmaker ideal for what the German manager needs to get the best out his forward line in the coming season.
