As Liverpool prepare to face Real Madrid at the Santiago Bernabeu tonight, pundit Gabriel Agnonlahor has predicted who’s going to win the second leg.

Speaking on talkSPORT ahead of the last-16 Champions League clash, the former Aston Villa man has claimed Los Blancos are likely to win again tonight and progress through to the next round of the competition.

“Liverpool can score two, three goals tonight, we know that, but if they defend like they did against Bournemouth, I mean, Van Dijk gave up for the goal, Trent wasn’t picking up in the box. It just looks easy to score against them at the moment,” said Agbonlahor.

“And Real Madrid; Benzema, Vinicius. I just think they’re going to have too much. You can see a 3-1 Real Madrid.

“Liverpool, they’ve got to go out and score goals over there, they’ve got to get three goals.

“Real Madrid, [with the] experience in the team, they’re not gonna let this game go.

“Like Jurgen Klopp says, 1% chance – he’s probably right.

“Three goals Liverpool have got to get without Real Madrid scoring. Trent’s going to have to push forward, you’re going to have Vinicius one-on-one. Van Dijk isn’t playing at his best. “I just think Liverpool will concede goals tonight.”

As Champions League clashes go, this is certainly one of the biggest Liverpool will have to overcome if they are to reach the quarter-finals of the competition.

This match shows parallels to the infamous 4-0 victory over Barcelona, which led the Reds to the trophy for the sixth time in the club’s history.

A similar comparison can be made to the miracle of Istanbul, where Liverpool trailed 3-0 at half-time to AC Milan – before pulling off the most famous comeback in all of football.

Jurgen Klopp’s side will need to be at their best tonight if they are to get off to a great start and fight their way back from the 5-2 deficit.

The Reds looked strong in the opening 15 minutes in the first leg, but this needs to be maintained throughout the entire match – otherwise they will be dumped out of the competition.
