Liverpool attacker Luis Diaz could be in line for a shock selection against Bournemouth on Saturday after returning from injury.
That’s according to Colombian journalist Diego Rueda.
The 26-year-old has been out injured with a knee injury since October.
After stepping up his rehabilitation, Diaz returned to training in December. It was here in which he suffered another setback, and he is yet to feature for the Reds since the accident.
However, having been pictured ramping up his training recently, a notable Colombian journalist has suggested that the winger could make his return as early as this Saturday.
As per Rueda’s tweet, Diaz could return from injury to face Bournemouth in the Premier League this weekend.
Furthermore, he also claims he could receive minutes against Real Madrid in the Champions League next Wednesday.

This would be a surprising selection call by Jurgen Klopp, given Diaz must have only just started training with the first-team again.
The Colombia international was seemingly rushed back during the Reds’ trip out to Dubai, as his premature return caused a major setback – as he now hasn’t played in five months.
Despite this, it’s understandable why Klopp would want to get the winger back into his team as soon as possible.
Before the injury, Diaz was Liverpool’s best player – as demonstrated by his ranking on WhoScored’s statistical leaderboard. This was during the Reds’ horrendous start to the season, which saw very few positives throughout the squad.
The 26-year-old always has the ability to change the outcome of a match, so that must be extremely tempting for Klopp to utilise.
However, it really does seem hard to believe that Diaz will be fit enough to face Bournemouth this weekend.
