The representatives of Liverpool midfielder Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain have offered him to Super Lig giants Fenerbahce, as the Turkish transfer window has been extended.
That’s according to A Spor, who claim the 29-year-old could still leave Anfield before the season ends.
With the devastating earthquake which has affected both Turkey and Syria, the Super Lig’s transfer window has been extended until 5 March.
As a result, Turkish teams can still sign players from abroad.
Therefore, as per A Spor, Oxlade-Chamberlain’s agents have offered his services to Fenerbahce, who are open to a move for the former England international.
They are currently preparing to enter talks with the Reds, with the midfielder otherwise likely to leave Merseyside as a free agent at the end of the season.
Oxlade-Chamberlain offered to Fenerbahce
With a number of players returning from injury, Oxlade-Chamberlain has had very limited minutes in the side recently.
He last made a cameo off the bench on 4 February, and he last started a game in the middle of January.
Since joining the Merseyside outfit in 2017, the midfielder has gone on to make 144 appearances for the club, during which he has amassed 18 goals and 15 assists.
However, his time at Liverpool has been overshadowed by the number of injuries he has suffered.
Despite glimpses of absolute brilliance, for which Andy Robertson once described him as ‘unbelievable’, he has struggled to maintain his place in the starting XI.
Therefore, as he is out of contract in the summer, the Reds are unlikely to stand in his way if the opportunity arises for him to sign for Fenerbahce this month.
