Liverpool have been offered the chance to sign Paris Saint-Germain superstar Neymar, according to 90min.
As per the report, while the French giants aren’t desperate to offload the 31-year-old, they are open to his departure at the end of the season.
Consequently, intermediaries have contacted a number of Premier League clubs over a potential move.
It is said that Chelsea, Liverpool, Manchester City, Manchester United and Newcastle United have all been spoken to about the player’s availability.
It is thought that the Brazilian holds an interest in making the switch to English football.
The Reds have previously been linked with his PSG teammate Kylian Mbappe.
Liverpool offered chance to sign Neymar
Out of all the reports that emerge involving Liverpool, this is certainly one which we find hard to believe.
Neymar originally joined PSG in 2017 in a world-record transfer worth £200m, having had his Barcelona release clause activated.
The attacker has established himself as a ‘world-class’ superstar, having won numerous titles at both clubs – including a Champions League trophy with the Catalan outfit.
Furthermore, he has incredibly gone on to make 124 appearances for Brazil. Perhaps even more sensationally, he has scored 77 goals for his country.
This is where Liverpool goalkeeper Alisson Becker has become well accustomed with Neymar, having played with the forward whilst on international duty with the Selecao.
However, despite how brilliant a signing the PSG no.10 would be, his reported £50m yearly salary would prove to be a deal breaker for the Reds.
Therefore, although it’s fun to dream, this transfer isn’t going to happen anytime soon.
