Manager says Liverpool will have ‘one of the best players’ of the next decade if they sign Jude Bellingham

Borussia Dortmund manager Edin Terzic has claimed Liverpool target Jude Bellingham will be ‘one of the best players’ of the next decade.

Speaking about the 19-year-old in an interview with The Telegraph, the BVB head coach lauded the midfield superstar, claiming he’s been an exceptional leader for him, despite his young age.

“He’s outstanding. On and off the pitch,” Terzic said.

“He’s very hungry, he wants to learn, he wants to adapt…he will be one of the best players in the world for the next decade.

“I have been lucky enough also to work with Declan Rice at the same age. With both of them – Declan and Jude – the England national team don’t have to worry for the next 10 years in the central midfield position.”

Speaking about naming Bellingham as the club’s third captain alongside Mats Hummels and Marco Reus, Terzic added:

“It was very simple,” he said.

“It was not a gift; it was something that he deserved. He didn’t get it when he signed his contract at Dortmund. He got it because of the way he performed.

“I don’t care about price tags, about the nationality, age. I care about the values and if you see Jude he represents all the values that are important for us as a club and for our fans.

“He’s not only 19; he is one of our leaders and he became a leader in the last two and a half years.”

Terzic says Bellingham will be one of the world’s best

According to The Mirror, Dortmund value Bellingham at around £130m.

Although this is a huge amount to spend on one player, you can see why it can be potentially seen as good value.

The England international is only 19 years old. With the incredible level he’s already at, the youngster is expected to dominate European football for years to come.

Therefore, say he continues to flourish and thus maintains his abilities until he’s 32, that’s 13 years of sensational football.

This can otherwise be seen as £10m per season; a bargain when you’re getting one of the most talented players in the world.

With 18-year-old Stefan Bajcetic as the Reds’ number six, a partnership with Bellingham would be a dream prospect for Liverpool.
