Crystal Palace midfielder and Reds fan Will Hughes was captured making an amusing Liverpool gesture towards Manchester United fans after getting Casemiro sent off yesterday.
The Eagles player was involved in an altercation with the Red Devils star halfway through the second half of their Premier League clash on Saturday.
The former Real Madrid man was shown a straight red after VAR spotted the moment he put his hands around Hughesâ neck, as shown by the video relayed by LFC Transfer Room on Twitter.
The 27-year-old was amused by Casemiroâs sending off, and having received stick from United fans for his handball which led to Bruno Fernandesâ penalty, he decided to retaliate.
The Palace midfielder, whoâs a big Liverpool fan, gestured a number six towards the home supporters at Old Trafford.
This was in reference to the number of Champions League trophies the Merseyside outfit have won â as United have won just three.
Hughes makes amusing Liverpool gesture to United fans
Itâs always great to see players getting under the Red Devilsâ skin.
That rivalry between the Premier Leagueâs two biggest teams no longer seems as despicable as it once was, so itâs always amusing to see United fans being put back in their place.
However, at the moment, Liverpool donât have much to be screaming about.
The Reds currently sit tenth in the division, having had a disastrous season thus far.
United, on the other hand, are third â 13 points ahead of Jurgen Kloppâs side.
The Red Devils hardly look like world beaters, but Liverpool look like theyâre going to lose every week at the moment.
Therefore, while this is a funny move from Hughes, we, as Reds fans, are somewhat limited in our arguments this term.
