Sheffield United midfielder Sander Berge is expected to stay at Bramall Lane, despite claims Liverpool could make a late bid to sign him.
That’s according to Sky Sports journalist Rob Dorsett.

While there have been various rumours suggesting both Fulham and Newcastle United were hoping to secure a late swoop, the reporter claims neither club have made contact over a potential move in the last 24 hours.
Instead, it is believed the Norway international will remain with the Blades.
As per a report from The Mirror (29/01, p77), the Reds and Chelsea have also been keen to land the midfielder this month. However, it now appears that isn’t going to happen.
Liverpool target Berge set to stay at Sheffield United
This is a huge blow for Jurgen Klopp.
The Reds desperately need midfield additions before the transfer window closes later tonight.
Worryingly, the likes of Jordan Henderson, James Milner and Fabinho have fallen off really quickly this season.
Whilst this is understandable for 37-year-old Milner, the other two players’ declines have come out of nowhere – especially the Brazilian’s.

Instead, Liverpool have had to rely on 18-year-old Stefan Bajcetic in recent weeks.
Although he is fantastic talent, he should not be burdened with the pressure of having to play every single week. In fact, it is probably harmful for his development to do so.
Therefore, Liverpool truly needed to sign a couple of midfielders this month.
As it stands, if an injury occurs to the likes of Thiago Alcantara or Naby Keita, the Merseyside outfit won’t be in very good stead for the remainder of the season.
