RB Leipzig defender Josko Gvardiol has decided he wants to join Real Madrid in the summer, despite transfer interest from Liverpool.
That’s according to El Debate.
They report that the 21-year-old has told his agent that he wants to sign for Los Blancos at the end of the season, and Carlo Ancelotti’s side are equally as keen to welcome him to the Bernabeu.

As per a previous report from 90min, the Reds have expressed an interest in signing the Croatia international.
However, it was claimed they were also joined by the likes of Madrid, Chelsea, Manchester City, Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur in the race.
Leipzig are very unlikely to sell their star defender before tonight’s deadline, so it seems more likely that the player will join the Spanish giants at the end of the season.
Gvardiol wants to join Madrid and not Liverpool
Prior to Ibrahima Konate’s injury being announced, we would not have necessarily thought Liverpool should be spending a large chunk of their transfer budget on a centre-back.
Instead, we believed the vast majority of it should have been used on rebuilding the midfield.
This is a huge issue, given the tremendous decline demonstrated by Jordan Henderson and Fabinho.
James Milner, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Naby Keita are all currently set to leave the club upon the expiry of their contracts this summer.
Therefore, Liverpool will be extremely light in the middle of the park.

However, as well as the midfield needing an overhaul, the Reds should consider signing a new player at centre-back.
Konate is injured again – a worrying sight to see for Liverpool fans.
Virgil van Dijk has already been out for weeks, meaning Klopp is left with just Joe Gomez and Joel Matip in the position.
Nat Phillips was expected to leave today, but with the Frenchman’s injury, this is no longer the case.
Therefore, the Merseyside outfit could have done with a player like Gvardiol, who can also play left-back.
