Pundit Jamie O’Hara has suggested Liverpool’s dreadful season could have serious consequences on their chances of landing their transfer targets in the summer.
Speaking live on Sky Sports, the talkSPORT host claimed he doesn’t think the Reds will qualify for a European competition this term.
“I mean look, they haven’t been good enough, anywhere near good enough this season – they look miles off the pace,” O’Hara said.

“I was expecting them to maybe go into this transfer window, bring in some reinforcements; centre-half, some midfielders, but they haven’t done it.
“So, it’s going to be a difficult one for them.
“I think the Liverpool fans are going to carry on being frustrated until the end of the season now.
“I can’t see them getting in Europe, I really can’t. It’s going to be tough for them.
“Can you attract the players after a shocking season [they’re] going to have?”
Liverpool may not qualify for Europe?
At the moment, Liverpool haven’t demonstrated any reason to believe they will be able to turn things around in time to make a charge for Europe during the second half of the season.
Currently, the Reds sit ninth in the Premier League table with 29 points.
Having played 19 matches, Jurgen Klopp’s side have a game in-hand over eighth place Brentford, who are one point ahead, and they have two games in-hand over seventh place Fulham, who are two points ahead.
However, the top-four now seems a long way off. Third and fourth placed Newcastle United and Manchester United have 39 points from 20 games played.

This is a big mountain to climb for Liverpool, especially for a team who don’t look like stringing together a couple of wins at the moment.
If the side are looking at Europa League at best, why would world-class players like Jude Bellingham want to make the move to Anfield?
This season’s shortcomings could have serious implications in the summer.
