Liverpool youngster Luke Chambers is set to join Kilmarnock on loan until the end of the season, according to GOAL journalist Neil Jones.
The versatile defender, who can play both left-back and centre-back, has been given the chance to test himself at the senior level in the Scottish Premiership.
Jones claims a deal has already been agreed, meaning the player will make the move to Scotland before the transfer window closes tomorrow night.
Chambers signed a new contract with the Reds in July 2022, having penned his first professional contract in 2021.
Chambers set to leave on loan
Having arrived at the academy at the age of six, Chambers has been with Liverpool ever since.
The 18-year-old made his debut for the U18’s during the 2020/21 season, predominantly playing at left-back.
Due to various injuries the following term, he was employed as a central defender – where he also impressed.
The U19 England international also became the side’s designated penalty taker that season, during which he netted nine goals.

Having won the U19 European Championship with the Three Lions last summer, he was given the opportunity to travel with the Liverpool first-team for their pre-season tour of Thailand and Singapore.
There, he even started against Manchester United, also earning a cameo as a substitute against Crystal Palace.
Reds favourite Kostas Tsimikas lauded praise on the youngster, claiming he’s a ‘very good player’.
Therefore, Chambers will be one to watch out for in the future.
