Thiago Alcantara spotted on night out with 'sensational' Liverpool teammate

Thiago Alcantara has been spotted enjoying a night out with Liverpool teammate Arthur Melo.

With over a week in-between games against Chelsea and Brighton, it looks as though the Reds players have been given permission to let their hair down.

And as per Arthur’s Instagram story yesterday evening, the lads are doing just that. Dressed to the nines in what looks like a ballroom, the Liverpool pair posed with their respective partners for a photo.

Judging by some of the Reds’ squad’s social media activity, Thiago and Arthur weren’t the only ones at this particular event either.

All of Roberto Firmino, Alisson Becker, Luis Diaz, Darwin Nunez and Adrian also appeared to be at the same venue. In fact, of the Spanish and Portuguese speaking contingent of the Liverpool squad, only Fabinho appeared to be missing. With a new baby at home, that’s no surprise!

Good to see the boys and their partners enjoying themselves after a tough season so far.

Team spirit stands the test of a difficult season

Some fans will have mixed views on players coming together for evening’s out amidst such a dismal season. But we think it’s a wholly positive thing.

In other teams, there would be division at the way things have gone this campaign. In-fighting would be abound and a toxic atmosphere would envelop the club.

Not at Liverpool, though. Or at least this version of it, anyway. Under Klopp, the players know they have stability and structure amid a poor season. They know that the only way through it is to come together and keep pushing to improve.

Fostering such team spirit has been a real marker of the Klopp era. And despite results going against Liverpool, that appears to be just as strong as ever.

For the likes of Firmino, Alisson, Adrian and maybe even Thiago, this is all part and parcel. But it’s particularly pleasing to see the likes of Nunez, Arthur and Diaz involved so soon after joining the club.

Arthur could be the one who benefits the most, too. Having only played once for the Reds before picking up a long-term injury, he’s almost ready to return. Once dubbed as being ‘sensational‘ by former Italy international Antonio Cassano, a closeness with his teammates could help him rediscover that kind of level as he returns.
