Arthur Melo is ahead of schedule on his from injury for Liverpool, according to reports. The Reds had feared he’s miss four months.
This comes from the Liverpool Echo. They claim that Arthur Melo is ahead of schedule for his return to football.
The Brazilian went down with a serious problem in October, having played just 13 minutes for Liverpool. The Reds’ emergency signing saw his loan deal instantly become a disaster.
Liverpool feared he’d miss four months, says the report. Instead, they were happy to find him ahead of schedule at their Dubai training camp. Arthur shouldn’t miss all that time, then, which would see him return anytime now.
Arthur Melo at Liverpool
This is in line with Fabrizio Romano’s comments on Twitter. He dismissed speculation that Liverpool could allow Arthur to return to Juventus after interest from Palmeiras.
Romano says there’s zero chance of such a move. Instead, Arthur should return to action within the next few weeks – and Liverpool could certainly use him.
Arthur’s loan spell has been truly horrendous, even if it’s not his fault. He’s actually put in some fantastic work in a bid to adapt to Liverpool, being labelled ‘first-class’ for his efforts with the Under 21s.
And at his best, Arthur is a special talent and one Liverpool could really use. He just needs to get fit, stay fit, and adapt in record time to this team. Of course, the latter would be difficult for any player, given the Reds’ form this campaign.
Now, it’s highly unlikely that Liverpool buy Arthur permanently for £32m at the end of his loan. Reports suggest they’ve already made their mind up on that.
But there’s still time for Arthur to make an impact at Anfield. He should return imminently – and ahead of schedule – with months to prove himself.
Maybe, with a bit of luck, this loan deal doesn’t need to be a total disaster.
