Kostas Tsimikas is in line to start for Liverpool vs Brentford tonight. The Greek left-back was a substitute against Leicester City.
This comes from the Liverpool Echo. They claim Kostas Tsimikas is on standby to start tonight as the Reds travel to Brentford.
Tsimikas came on as a substitute against Leicester City on Friday, of course. He did so because Andy Robertson picked up a slight dead leg and the Scot may not be ready to return so quickly.

Liverpool will do some late tests on Robertson, but as things stand, it seems that Tsimikas will start at left-back. The £50k-a-week player, per Capology, has become a valuable squad option for the Reds.
He may now get the chance to prove that once again.

The Echo’s report also shares that Roberto Firmino could be in contention again. He’s missed the last couple of games with a problem but Jurgen Klopp could call on him tonight.
Both James Milner and Curtis Jones are thought to be in contention, too. They’ve been the other short-term injuries, along with the Brazilian.
Other than that, Ibrahima Konaté is the big one. He only returned from the World Cup a week ago, making an appearance against Leicester difficult. He’s back now, though, and may feature as Liverpool look to get him back up to speed.

One last claim – Cody Gakpo is unlikely to feature. He officially joined Liverpool yesterday with the opening of the transfer window. There’s little suggestion that his registration will be completed in time for him to play, though.
It would be a brave choice from Klopp to use him, in fact. Gakpo hasn’t been able to train with his new teammates – any involvement would be a massive show of trust in the Reds’ 23-year-old.
