Darwin Nunez has suggested that Liverpool teammate Mohamed Salah is even better than Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo.
In a video from Twitter user Mirza Jasim Baig, Nunez was asked for his preference in the debate over which superstar is better.
But the Liverpool striker wasn’t playing ball. After a brief chuckle and a glance at Salah, Nunez throws a curveball into the mix. “Salah,” he says, with a cheeky smile. “Salah.”

Understanding growing between Salah and Nunez
Of course, we don’t really think Salah is better than Messi, nobody is. But still, it’s nice to see Nunez acknowledging that Mo should at least be in these kinds of conversations.
The two have struck up a decent partnership this season. All of Nunez’s three assists in a Liverpool shirt have been for his Egyptian teammate.
Salah also set up the 23-year-old’s very first goal for his new club against Fulham back in August.
The pair have shown themselves to have a good understanding of each other as they carry Liverpool’s attacking threat for the moment.
Nunez’s struggles in-front of goal have been well documented in Liverpool’s two games of the past week. The Uruguayan has missed a pretty remarkable number of chances.
But Salah is having no such troubles. In fact, the 30-year-old is going under the radar as having a quietly brilliant season with Liverpool.
His seven Premier League goals is perhaps a lower number than he’d have expected at this point of the season, that’s true. Considering Erling Haaland now has 20 for Manchester City, his Golden Boot race looks long-since run.
Mo has added a further seven in the Champions League though, and another in the Carabao Cup. Chuck in his Community Shield goal against City and he’s on 16 goals in 23 games. Not quite Messi-like, but Darwin certainly has a point.
