Gabby Agbonlahor has predicted that Liverpool will fail to beat Aston Villa in tomorrow’s Premier League return.
Liverpool travel to Villa Park looking for back-to-back league wins for just the fourth time this season. And speaking to TalkSPORT shorts on YouTube, Agbonlahor claimed that this is something the Reds need to do more of.
“Win back to back games for Christmas would be nice for Liverpool,” said the pundit. “But they’re not going to do that because they’ve got my team, Villa.”
A win in the Midlands would actually be the first time Liverpool have won three Premier League games on the spin all season. Make it happen, Reds.

Tough task ahead for Liverpool
As far as Boxing Day fixtures go, this could have been a better one for Liverpool. Villa look upwardly mobile once again following the arrival of Unai Emery as head coach.
Liverpool do have a decent record at Villa Park, but the 7-2 bloodbath of 2020/21 still lingers fresh in every Reds fan’s mind.
There is no chance of a repeat of that tomorrow afternoon. Nevertheless, Liverpool are going to have to be right at it.
Villa had gone a little stale under Steven Gerrard, but they have shown plenty of life since the Liverpool icon left the club. As their visitors look for three league wins in a row, the Villains will do the same.

Emery has two Premier League wins from two, and against the current top seven at that. An impressive 3-1 win over Manchester United was followed up with an equally handsome 2-1 victory away to Brighton.
With just four points separating the two teams at kick-off, Aston Villa have a real incentive to take the game to Liverpool.
One thing that does stand in the Reds favour is that they got a competitive 90 minutes in their legs on Thursday. Villa have failed to win three out of four friendly games over the last few weeks, losing two.
Hopefully that extra little bit of match sharpness will show tomorrow, and Liverpool can make the always vocal Agbonlahor eat his words.
