Harvey Elliott says Jurgen Klopp has taught him three things since joining Liverpool. The youngster feels inspired.

Harvey Elliott raved about Jurgen Klopp this week, listing off the ways his Liverpool boss has inspired him. Elliott, who moved to Anfield in 2019, has come on leaps and bounds under the German.

But what, exactly, has he taught him? Elliott thought of three ways he’s learned from Klopp.

“To be yourself, to play with confidence and to express who you are on the pitch,” said Elliott, per the Mirror. “I think the way he’s been with me and honed in on my skills on the pitch, has really brought me out of my shell in real life as well.

“I’m naturally a bubbly person, and he’s encouraged me to show this side of my character off to people that don’t know me too well.

“He’s inspired me a lot and taught me a lot both on and off the pitch. I mean, the list could go on, I could be here for a few days.”

Jurgen Klopp taught Harvey Elliott plenty

It will forever be amazing how much of an effect Klopp has on his players. At the end of the day, it’s the ultimate sign of a great manager – one who improves them as players not only technically but also mentally.

His man-management is second to none and Elliott is quite plainly an example of that. There’s simply no better boss to have during your key formative years.

Trent Alexander-Arnold is another fine example. A young player who stepped into the side early on and quickly found the mentality to be a winner. Elliott is following in those footsteps – and he won’t be the last.

We simply can’t wait to see the player Elliott becomes. Klopp will continue to work his magic and the result will be something special.
