Reported Liverpool target Kylian Mbappe is urging PSG to sell him for around £130m next summer.
That’s according to Sport, who claim that the Frenchman is still ‘determined to change his scenery’ in the near future. This could reportedly be with a move to Liverpool, who are still said to be ‘considering’ an approach.
Normally, this would seem like an impossibility for the Reds. Mbappe’s wages outstrip those of any player in their history by some distance. However, the 24-year-old is claimed to be ready to lower his salary in order to make a move happen.
Mbappe, who scored a hat-trick in Sunday’s World Cup final, is also said to be looking for a more ‘powerful’ sporting project. As a result, he’s reportedly hoping that PSG will do business at around £130m.

A transfer in January is claimed to be ‘practically impossible,’ with Mbappe ‘preparing the ground’ for a summer move instead.
As well as Liverpool, Chelsea and Manchester United are said to be interested in the France superstar. Meanwhile long-term suitors Real Madrid remain ‘very attentive’ to Mbappe’s situation.
Don’t get your hopes up, Reds
No matter how many times Liverpool are mentioned in connection with Mbappe, it still feels like nothing but a pipe dream.
Sure, the PSG forward has spoken to the Reds in the past, and his mother is a fan of the club, that’s been documented. But it just seems economically impossible.

Should Liverpool be taken over by owners with a bigger tendency to ‘splash the cash,’ this might change. As long as FSG remain at the club though, it feels a million miles away.
Besides, do Liverpool really want Mbappe? Of course, he is a superstar and that might seem like a silly question. He’s just smashed in a World Cup final hat-trick for goodness sake! The forward has also been termed ‘the world’s best player’ by the likes of CNN.
But at the same time, he comes with a heck of a lot of baggage. Used to getting his own way in the team, how would he deal with listening to Jordan Henderson direct him around a pitch for 90 minutes. That isn’t to disrespect Hendo at all, but you can’t imagine Mbappe taking that kind of ‘encouragement’ well.
So, this one still feels like a pie in the sky deal for Liverpool. But, that doesn’t mean it’s completely out of the question. If Mbappe is willing to make a deal work, then that could be the key factor here. Still, don’t hold your breath, Reds.
