Liverpool are willing to sanction a club-friendly deal in order to offload Nat Phillips, according to reports. The player could leave in January.
This comes from the Liverpool Echo. They claim that Liverpool would sanction a very club-friendly deal in order to move Nat Phillips on in January.
They suggest that Liverpool would accept between £10m to £15m, should any club offer it. We imagine the amount of interest determines how close it is to either figure. More importantly, though, they’d be willing to include that as an option to buy in a six-month loan.

That’s an incredibly club-friendly deal for any buyer. They could sign Phillips, test him out for six months, before potentially paying a bargain fee. It’s so risk-free for clubs that we’d be shocked if no one took a chance on it.
Liverpool look to offload Nat Phillips
Honestly, we’re shocked that no one has made a decent offer for Phillips anyway. He’s a player who has consistently succeeded when given a chance – at both Liverpool and Bournemouth.
Here’s a player, for instance, who jumped into the Reds’ starting XI and helped secure a 3rd-placed finish in the Premier League. You have to be of a certain quality to do that, especially when the inexperienced Rhys Williams is your centre-back partner.

Phillips then went to Bournemouth in the Championship last season for the final six months. They’d eventually win promotion to the Premier League, with manager Scott Parker labelling the player ‘exceptional’.
£10m for that? It feels like a bargain at this point as Phillips can’t do much more. In a lot of ways, he’s in a catch-22 situation as the only thing he’s lacking to secure a move is regular football, but he needs a move to get it.
We imagine Phillips will leave Liverpool in the winter and he’ll do so with a legitimate legacy at the club. Whoever does get him is getting a fine player.
