James Milner has lavished praise on Liverpool striker Darwin Nunez, claiming he has the ability to become a hero at Anfield.
Speaking with Ben Foster for Amazon Prime’s YouTube channel, the 36-year-old spoke of the Uruguayan’s transition to the Premier League and the potential he possesses.
“He’s got everything to score a lot of goals at Liverpool,” Milner said.
“It’s a new country, he can’t speak too much English yet, but he’s got great banter and he’s learning the language, he’s a great lad.

“People underestimate how difficult it is to move your whole family, it’s different food, different language, different weather. The Premier League is completely different, it’s a big step and it takes time.
“His attributes he has, finishing with both feet, in the air, works his nuts off, he’ll be top – no doubt about that.”
Milner raves about Nunez
Although Nunez has faced various criticism from pundits since arriving on Merseyside, the vast majority of this has been massively undeserved.
In 18 appearances for the Reds, the 23-year-old has bagged nine goals and two assists, including three consecutive goals in the Champions League.
Although the striker has struggled with technical play on occasions, he has already seen huge improvements since working with Jurgen Klopp’s coaching staff.

The Uruguay international has returned from the World Cup fully fit, ready to feature for Liverpool as they take on Manchester City in the Carabao Cup on Thursday.
At such a young age, Nunez’s potential is incredible. Therefore, it is undeniable that he is a truly exciting prospect to wear the shirt at Anfield.
