Reported Liverpool transfer target Marcus Thuram will be available for just £10.4m next month.
That’s according to Bild, who report that the forward will be allowed to leave Borussia Monchengladbach in the January window.
Liverpool aren’t named as one of the clubs in the running, though. Instead, Inter Milan are said to be Thuram’s most likely destination. Bayern Munich are also name-checked, but they’d reportedly prefer to sign the France international on a free transfer next summer.
Gladbach have reportedly already lined up the 25-year-old’s successor, as they prepare a move for Croatian forward Dion Beljo.

Rare market opportunity awaits Liverpool
This update on Thuram comes as the Frenchman prepares for the biggest game of his career tomorrow.
Even with all the illness currently disrupting Didier Deschamps’ World Cup final preparations, the Gladbach man won’t start in Doha.
Regardless, if France win, it will be a big moment for Thuram personally. It would mean him following in the footsteps of his father, Lilian, who won the trophy in 1998.
It may also ramp up the interest in him ever so slightly. The opportunity to sign a World Cup winner yet to enter his prime for absolutely nothing doesn’t come around all too often.

As a result, Liverpool should position themselves accordingly. The Express have claimed that the Reds are one of the sides in the running for Thuram and they have routinely been linked with him over the last two or three years.
Since arriving in Gladbach from Guingamp in 2019, the forward has steadily improved. 10 goals in 15 Bundesliga appearances this season puts him well on course for his best return yet.
Wolfsburg sporting director Marcel Shafer recently called Thuram ‘world-class.’ And, although that may be an exaggeration, he’s clearly a really good player.
Again, it isn’t often these kinds of players become available for such a small fee. With Liverpool looking for some reinforcements in the forward areas, Thuram could be the answer.
