Liverpool goalkeeper Adrian stood to applaud 19-year-old Fabian Mrozek for a save he made during training yesterday.
Mrozek is currently away with the first team having been included in the Dubai training camp squad. And as per Inside Training on LFCTV, the youngster is impressing.
Tasked with stopping his Liverpool teammates during a shooting drill, Mrozek was faced with Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain barely six yards out.
Running onto a ball across the face of goal, Ox looked certain to score with a first time effort. But the young Polish ‘keeper stood up tall, getting two strong hands to the shot and tipping it over the bar.

“Aw Fabi! Great save, man!” gushed Adrian, applauding on from behind the goal.
With Alisson away and Caoimhin Kelleher still relatively young, it’s nice to see Adrian stepping into the senior ‘keeping role. Great to see the young man doing well, too.
Changes afoot for Liverpool’s ‘keepers
Liverpool’s goalkeeping options could be set for a major overhaul at the end of the season. Mrozek will be hoping that this can open a door of opportunity for him.
Adrian himself will be out of contract in the summer. After a successful four years at Liverpool, it would be a surprise to see him retained further.
Kelleher meanwhile looks ready to push on for a starting spot. That won’t be at Anfield and, as a result, it wouldn’t be a huge shock to see him explore his options in regards to a move.

So, with second and third choice potentially on the chopping block, there is a chance for someone to step up.
As Mrozek could perhaps be considered sixth-choice right now, he still has a lot of work to do. Big things are expected of the highly rated Marcelo Pitaluga, while Harvey Davies has also been in and around the first team for a while.
It could be that Liverpool also look to bring in an external candidate. Should they go down that route, we think free agent Yann Sommer would be the perfect signing.
For Mrozek then, a regular squad place does seem a bit of a distant dream. Keep on showing his skills in training though, and you simply never know.
