Premier League clubs believe Chelsea are more likely to sign Borussia Dortmund striker Youssoufa Moukoko than Liverpool.
That’s according to David Ornstein’s transfer column for The Athletic. He reports that Graham Potter’s side are exploring the possibility of bringing the 18-year-old to Stamford Bridge.
The attacker is out of contract at BVB at the end of the season, and it is thought that the Blues are putting in the groundwork to sign him on a free transfer in the summer.

Premier League clubs seem to believe Chelsea’s deal for Moukoko is at an advanced stage, and the possibility to land him in January has not yet been ruled out.
According to SportsBILD, the Reds are keen to sign the youngster. Jurgen Klopp is meant to be a big fan of the player, and he would like to bring him to Anfield on a free transfer.
Liverpool target Moukoko could join Chelsea
Since bursting onto the scene as a 16-year-old, Moukoko has already set European football alight, with a plethora of records added to his name.
The German became the youngest ever player to feature in the Bundesliga two years ago, with former teammate Erling Haaland hailing the forward as ‘the biggest talent in the world’.
Just three weeks later, he also became the youngest player to ever appear in the Champions League.

More recently, he became the youngest player to represent Germany at a World Cup. He came on as a substitute in Hansi Flick’s side’s 2-1 defeat to Japan, aged just 18 years and three days.
At such a young age, Moukoko’s potential is unfathomable. Therefore, he will be an unbelievable addition to any club – especially on a free transfer.
