‘Wows you every day’: Jake Cain in awe of ‘world-class’ talent on display in Liverpool’s Dubai training camp

Liverpool youngster Jake Cain is relishing the opportunity to train day-in, day out with Jurgen Klopp’s senior players at the Reds’ training camp in Dubai.

Speaking in an interview with the club’s official website, the 21-year-old expressed how amazed he is to see the talent being displayed by the side’s top players.

“Playing with world-class players, you see the talent every day and you see something new and it just wows you every day,” he said.

“It’s a really great experience playing with them. It’s made me deal with tough opponents.

“Playing against the physical presence of players, it’s always tough. And the technique of them, it’s really tough but it does help me in my career and it improves me as a player.

“It’s been good to get some warm weather. And to be with the first team, it’s always a privilege to play around such good players and to get the experience with them.”

Cain is in awe out in Dubai

Having spent the 2021/22 season on loan at Newport County, the 21-year-old will be far more confident coming back and training with Liverpool’s first-team.

The youngster made 25 appearances in League Two last term, and he will now be hoping to make an impact in training with Klopp’s senior squad.

The midfielder has made just once appearance for the first-team to date, having played a full 90 minutes in the FA Cup.

Dubai’s training camp will come as a great opportunity to the young talent hoping to make an impression on the Reds’ coaching staff.

Training day-in, day out will be huge when it comes to maintaining the physicality and intensity of Premier League football, so it will be a real test of character to see which players can handle the pressure.
