‘I understand’: Fabrizio Romano has just given Liverpool fans what looks like good news about Jude Bellingham

Liverpool target Jude Bellingham has decided that his father, Mark, will be the only agent involved in his transfer next year.

That’s according to journalist Fabrizio Romano. Writing on Twitter, Romano claimed that Bellingham has decided to keep things simple – his dad will be the only one tasked with handling the move.

“Talks continue on player side but it’s not time for final decision yet on Jude Bellingham future. Borussia Dortmund will open talks with clubs in 2023,” wrote the transfer expert.

“Understand the only agent of Jude Bellingham who’s now taking care of the negotiations is his father Mark.”

Good news for Liverpool?

Earlier this week, reports claimed that Bellingham’s family were already leaning towards a move to Liverpool for Jude. As a result, this could actually be really, really good news for Liverpool.

Mark Bellingham isn’t your regular, money grabbing football agent. Rather, he’s a father with an understanding of the game, who wants his son to make the best decision possible.

In the same way that Liverpool had no chance with the late Mino Raiola’s hawking of Erling Haaland, this could now work in their favour.

The Reds can’t throw the most money at the Bellingham’s. But that doesn’t appear to be their main concern. Wherever Jude ends up, he’s going to be richer than he possibly ever imagined.

So, it seems the family are instead more intent on being sold a ‘footballing project.’ When it comes to those, who can honestly say they can sell a better one than Liverpool?

Manchester City, maybe. But there, Bellingham would be a simple cog in the machine, playing second fiddle to the likes of Kevin De Bruyne in midfield.

At Anfield, he could be the main man. More than that, he could become an icon. Steven Gerrard’s famous No.8 shirt should be available for next season. How could Bellingham not be enticed by the chance to follow in his idol’s footsteps?

All the signs do appear to point in Liverpool’s favour right now. Until all is said and done though, the legwork will continue. Do the right thing, Mark!
