Speaking in his post-match interview after the game, the Trotters boss was full of praise for the Merseyside left-back. As relayed by Manchester Evening News, he claimed:

“It’s not easy to come into an environment like this and a game like this when things haven’t been going really well for us the last month or so,” Evatt said.

“But he took it all in his stride. He’s not part of Liverpool’s team and squad for no reason, he’s a really good player. That young four across the middle of the pitch was fantastic.”

Evatt full of praise for Beck

As the great nephew of Liverpool legend Ian Rush, there will always be big expectations of the youngster at Anfield.

The full-back made his first-team debut for the Reds last year as he featured in two consecutive EFL Cup games against Preston and Leicester.

Having made 43 appearances for the Merseyside club’s U21’s side, Beck has been showing huge potential behind the scenes at Kirkby.

Although he has made just five appearances all season, the 20-year-old has started to feature more regularly in recent weeks.

Therefore, the academy staff at Liverpool will be sure to keep a close eye on his development as the season progresses.

Reds manager Jurgen Klopp has been highly praising of Beck in the past. The German exclaimed the U21 Wales international is a ‘super talent’, and that he’s really excited by him.

Trent Alexander-Arnold has also had kind words to say about the left-back. He claimed Beck had impressed the squad at Kirkby, and that he’s showing signs of becoming a ‘top player’.

As a result, Beck will be a youngster to keep an eye on in League One with Bolton this season.
