Ibrahima Konate was unable to contain his laughter as Liverpool teammates Calvin Ramsay and Darwin Nunez faced off on FIFA 23.
In a video released by Liverpool on Twitter today, the three Reds stars play against each other on the new video game.
Konate, playing as Portugal, initially takes on Nunez’s Ghana. Ramsay soon appears on the scene though and takes over the controller.
Almost as soon as the young Scot takes over, Darwin springs into life, scoring with Ghana. Patting the Uruguayan’s arm, Konate couldn’t believe what he was witnessing.
Things got even livelier when Nunez put his Ghana side 2-1 up in the second half. Jumping on the striker in celebration, Konate laughed his head off at the turn of events. Never change, Ibou.
Konate ready to show the world what he can do
Konate’s energy in these intra-squad videos is unrivalled. Always laughing and cajoling, you can’t help but smile when watching him.
It’s quite the contrast from his calm and dominating performances on the pitch.
Recently, we haven’t been seeing quite enough of the latter, as injury keeps him out of the team.

Fortunately, Ibou is back fit now, and thoroughly deserves his place in the France World Cup squad. Having only made his debut at the end of last season, that’s a real testament to him.
It remains to be seen whether Didier Deschamps deems the Liverpool man to be part of his first XI. There is heavy competition in the French team and it would be no surprise to see Konate on the bench.
If he does manage to get on the pitch though, you can expect him to show that he really should be starting.
With little participation from the Reds at this year’s tournament, Konate is one who could go deep in the competition. Best of luck, lad.
