Liverpool midfielder Fabinho was spotted trying to get the Anfield crowd going during his team’s loss against Leeds United last night.
The Brazilian endured another tough evening as Liverpool fell to a first home defeat in more than 18 months.
But according to the Liverpool Echo, Fabinho was doing his best to bring some energy to the crowd. The 29-year-old was spotted ‘urging them for more support’ after Harvey Elliott lost the ball during the first-half.
That could genuinely have been at any point during the game. Elliott, along with Fabinho and Thiago Alcantara seemed to give the ball away at every opportunity.
The Anfield crowd could have been far more encouraging, that’s true, they were out-sang by the Leeds fans all night. But when they’re being served up the same, lukewarm, performance time after time, can you really blame them for being unenthused?

Fabinho sums up Liverpool struggles
Going off his recent abysmal displays, Saturday night’s offering was perhaps a slight improvement from Fabinho. But even so, the Brazil international yet again let runners go past him far too easily.
If any player sums up the drastic shift in Liverpool’s fortunes this season, then it’s their No.3.
A calming yet destructive influence in the side, Fabinho has been one of the bedrocks of the Reds success under Klopp. That shouldn’t be forgotten or understated. He has been immense.
Just a couple of weeks ago he was named as the 14th best player in world football at the annual Ballon d’Or awards. He has undeniably been a great player.

But for whatever reason, Fabinho just looks lost this season. Whether it’s fatigue – physical or mental – or the start of a permanent decline, only time will tell.
For now though, he can’t be relied upon. For so long it felt like Fabinho was more or less the first name on Klopp’s team sheet. The fact that this is still the case is now cause for concern.
Liverpool badly need someone to help ease his workload. Klopp has tried a change in system, and it just hasn’t worked. Now’s the time to look for an immediate replacement.
