Liverpool forward Luis Diaz is continuing his recovery from injury by putting in legwork at the gym.
Diaz has been missing since picking up a knee injury against Arsenal three weeks ago. No exact timescale has been put on his return, but he’ll be out until after the World Cup at least.
Now, the Colombian forward has taken to his Instagram stories to post an update for Liverpool fans.
With heavy bandaging around his left knee, Diaz posted a picture of himself lifting some weights with his injured leg.
Two bicep flex emojis along with two flames suggest that the 25-year-old’s rehab is going well. Come back soon please, Luis. We miss you.

Liverpool desperately missing Diaz
It would probably be wrong to suggest that Liverpool’s recent slump is all down to injuries.
The Reds were in desperate form long before both Luis Diaz and Diogo Jota succumbed to long-term problems.
Regardless, it’s absolutely clear that Liverpool are missing their two forwards. Without them, Roberto Firmino, Mohamed Salah and Darwin Nunez are being run into the ground.
With no alternative top-class options, Liverpool have become much easier to stop. It’s not that the Reds are predictable – they seem to go with a different set-up every game – it’s just that they look low on confidence and motivation.

When all five of Jurgen Klopp’s forwards are fit, there’s only really Mohamed Salah who is secure of his place in the team.
The other four can be chopped and changed to give Liverpool different dimensions in different games.
But now, Firmino, Salah and Nunez know that they’ll continue to be in the team, no matter their form. Klopp simply has no other choice. Unless he is to call up someone like youngster Ben Doak, that will continue.
Thankfully, it appears that Diaz is on the right track. The World Cup break is perfect for Liverpool this season. Without it, Klopp would have to make do and mend for far longer than will be the case. Still, Diaz’s return and the energy he will bring can’t come soon enough.
