Andy Robertson told young Liverpool goalkeeper Harvey Davies to ‘behave’ after he pulled off a top save in training.
As seen on a video from Liverpool’s official Twitter account, Robertson was blown away by the 19-year-old’s agility.
After bending a lovely, curling effort towards the top corner, the left-back must have thought he’d scored. But Davies had other ideas, flying through the air and tipping the ball over the crossbar.
“Ey come on, ey!” Robbo reacted. “Behave! Stop it, stop it!”
The 28-year-old then lined up another long-ranger, burying this one past a motionless Davies. “Save that!” roared Robertson as laughter rang around the training pitch.
Davies continues to show his potential
First and foremost, it’s great to see the Liverpool players enjoying themselves in training here.
It’s been a tough old season so far, but it’s nice to see the likes of Robertson keeping spirits up. The Scotland captain is a real bundle of energy and is a central figure in the dressing room.
For someone like Davies to be able to join in with his enthusiasm and banter will be really rewarding for the youngster.
On top of that though, this was a superb piece of goalkeeping from the young man. Davies was really impressive in what we saw of him during this summer’s pre-season tour, too.

Judging from this little shred of evidence, he has some good attributes.
As Liverpool could well be forced into looking for a new back-up goalkeeper quite soon, Davies’ progress is worth keeping in mind.
With Caoimhin Kelleher now back fit, it’s unlikely that the teenager will see any first team action any time soon.
But he’s learning from the very best in training on a daily basis. Keep making an impression like this on the senior players and that call up could be closer than you might think.
