Andy Robertson is back at Liverpool training after a spell on the sidelines. The Scot could face Manchester City to end the week.
Andy Robertson is training again after picking up an injury before the international break. The Liverpool left-back hasn’t played since the disastrous 4-1 defeat at Napoli on September 7th.
It’s a massive boost for Jurgen Klopp as Liverpool suffer another injury crisis. Luis Diaz, the first-choice player on the left flank, will be out until at least December. Both Trent Alexander-Arnold and Joel Matip will miss the next few weeks with injuries, too.
Getting Robertson back allows a bit of flexibility with rotation – even if he can’t fix all the problems on his own.

Really great news and you can see Robertson joining training in Liverpool’s open training session here. The Scot is back and the Reds are better for it.
Kostas Tsimikas has had some fine moments in Robertson’s absence but he’s just not quite the same player. Defensively, at least, the Greek was caught out a couple of times against Arsenal on Sunday.
And if the right-hand side of Liverpool’s defence won’t be first-choice, at the least the left will. That’s a boost, at the very least.
Tsimikas will also be grateful for a bit of rest as he’s had to play relentlessly lately. There are so many games left that we’d still expect him to play fairly consistently, too – and we’d have him in the XI to play Ranges tomorrow.
There’s no need to rush Robertson back, after all. Manchester City wait on Sunday and making sure he’s fit for that is the priority here. As dangerous as Rangers can be – and as much as the Celtic fan likely wants to play 90 minutes – Liverpool should risk him.
