A new report shares Liverpool’s stance on potentially sacking Jurgen Klopp after the Reds’ poor start to the season.

This comes from Goal’s Neil Jones. He claims there is absolutely no pressure on Jurgen Klopp right now, despite Liverpool’s poor start to the season.

“This isn’t Chelsea,” he writes, explaining that Liverpool and FSG will stick with Klopp. There’s absolutely no suggestion that support is wavering, while sacking the boss is out of the question.

This comes as Liverpool continue to struggle. The 3-3 draw at Anfield with Brighton was a microcosm of the season as the Seagulls raced into a 2-0 lead.

The Reds were remarkably open defensively and, in all honesty, could have been further down. They showed a burst of quality to fight back, however, and took a 3-2 lead.

But there was little sense that they could hold it. Brighton found a third as Leandro Trossard completed a hat-trick and Liverpool dropped more points. They’re now 11 points off of 1st place and will face the top two in consecutive Premier League games.

No chance of sacking Jurgen Klopp

Even as Liverpool struggle, there certainly shouldn’t be any chance of sacking Klopp or even putting him under pressure. There is no better manager around, in all truth, and we’re still only a couple of months into the season.

And if the Reds do need to rebuild a new team, Klopp would be the man to do it. He can work without pressure, then, and there’s certainly room to experiment. What the boss has built earns him a lifetime of support.

It’ll be interesting to see the direction he heads in, though. We could see a change of formation or maybe a mass exodus in 2023 – ‘mass’ by Liverpool’s standards, anyway.

All that’s clear is change is imminent. It just won’t be in the dugout.
