Liverpool are aware of Ibrahim Adel, according to reports. The 21-year-old is making a real name for himself in Egypt.
This comes from the Liverpool Echo. They understand that Liverpool are very much aware of Ibrahim Adel, though they’re one of a number of clubs tracking his progress.
Adel currently plays in Egypt for Pyramids FC. He’s making a name for himself, too, scoring goals from the wing at just 21. His form brought about claims from 90min that Liverpool had a transfer in mind.
Now, the Echo believe that’s taking things a bit far. Liverpool have eyes on Adel but there’s no suggestion that any kind of deal is imminent. Instead, the Reds are looking to see how he develops.
But that hasn’t stopped the Sporting Director at Pyramids from addressing the rumours. He, too, admits that there’s nothing in terms of progress towards a deal.
“Ibrahim Adel is a huge talent for us and for Egyptian football,” he is quoted as saying by KingFut . “The rumours regarding the Liverpool interest in him are good, but there is nothing official happening relating to the matter.”
Liverpool are aware of Ibrahim Adel
There’s obviously a very easy connection made between Liverpool and Adel, given Mohamed Salah is the club’s most prominent player. He’ll know exactly how good the winger is – and potentially, be able to recommend him.

Or turn Liverpool away, of course. We won’t pretend to know much about Adel but it does sound as though he’s a name we might here again. Certainly, we imagine there will be more links to the Reds.
We’re a very long way from a transfer, though. If Adel can show he’s several levels above Egyptian football, maybe something happens. It would certainly be a jump to go from there to the Premier League, however.
More likely is that Adel makes a smaller jump and Liverpool continue their scouting from there.
