Jude Bellingham is set to reject Liverpool’s offer, according to reports. The English midfielder has another club in mind.
This comes from Marca. They claim that Liverpool do have an offer in for Jude Bellingham – on the player’s side, anyway. He’s very much aware of it, too, but is set to reject a move to the Reds.
Instead, Bellingham has his heart set on Real Madrid. Real are keen to sign the Englishman and have him as their primary target for next summer. Casemiro’s exit comes as both Toni Kroos and Luka Modric wind down, making a midfield signing vital for Carlo Ancelotti’s side.
And with Real ready to go all in, Bellingham is eager to jump on board.
Jude Bellingham to reject Liverpool’s offer
This would be a major blow for Liverpool as Bellingham is pretty much their perfect midfield signing. But you can say that for a lot of teams, of course.
Liverpool do need a new midfielder, though. James Milner, Naby Keita and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain are all out of contract next year. Both Jordan Henderson and Thiago are past 30 and frequently injured. That leaves Fabinho, the sole holding midfielder, and three youngsters as Jurgen Klopp’s long-term options.
There is also Arthur, of course, who the Reds could sign permanently.

Marca mention that Bellingham could be signed for around £134m, citing a release clause. We’re not sure there actually is a release clause with the player, but there are reports that Liverpool looked for one.
£134m would be an enormous price, though. It’s not one we can see the club paying and if Real are willing, we imagine Bellingham goes there. Anything in and around £100m could tempt Liverpool – the question now is whether the player would agree.
Marca seem to believe he wouldn’t – and that the Reds must already start looking elsewhere.
