Liverpool’s Arthur hires three professionals to work privately with him, according to reports. The Brazilian is eager to impress.

This comes from The Times. They claim that Arthur Melo has hired three professionals to work with him away from Liverpool as he attempts to up his overall fitness levels.

The Brazilian now has a physiotherapist, a fitness coach and a nutritionist to work with him daily. He’s hoping that not only will this impress Liverpool but potentially get him up to speed faster.

That’s something Arthur is clearly concerned with. He’s been featuring for the Liverpool Under 21s over the last week and continues to train with them over the international break.

It’s something that impressed coach Barry Lewtas, who called Arthur ‘first-class’ in his efforts. The player, it seems, is eager to earn that permanent move and first-team football with Liverpool.

Arthur hires professionals

Absolutely everything we’re hearing about Arthur right now is overwhelmingly positive. He’s determined to make it at Liverpool and appears willing to do whatever he can to make it happen.

Considering his work-rate was something that put Juventus and Barcelona off, it comes as a surprise. Arthur looks like he’s going to put in the work you’d want from any player, though – and that might just prove the making of his Liverpool career.

Arthur still has to earn that, after all. He’s not a permanent signing who has time and instead needs to show his worth across one season. If we’re being honest, he needs to show it before the January transfer window – which gives him about six weeks of football.

All of this effort to prepare for those weeks suggests that Arthur sees it that way. He wants to be firing on all cylinders when club football resumes. Not only to earn time with Liverpool but to potentially force his way into Brazil’s World Cup squad.

If he doesn’t make it, it certainly won’t be for a lack of trying.
