Liverpool youngster Fabio Carvalho has predicted that he’ll win the Ballon d’Or during his career.
Speaking to The PFA on YouTube, the Liverpool player was asked what he sees in his future.
“A few Ballon d’Or’s, a few Champions League in there,” smiled Carvalho. “You’re laughing but I’m being serious!”
We like the sound of that, Fabio, aim high. You’re at the right club to make it happen.

Carvalho is clearly an incredibly confident young man. And why shouldn’t he be? Judging from what we’ve seen from the 20-year-old so far, he can go as far as he wants in the game.
Despite arriving as a squad player, the Portugal U21 star has already forced his way into Jurgen Klopp’s starting XI.
Unfortunately, it looks as though he won’t get the opportunity to follow up his first start at the weekend with another one tomorrow.
A dead-leg against Everton seems to be keeping him out of the trip to Naples. His Champions League debut may have to wait a little while longer.

Still, it’s only a matter of time until Carvalho graces the biggest stage. If he truly does have designs on winning the top individual accolade in the sport, then he has no choice but to make his mark in it.
If he can do that this season, perhaps he still has an outside shot of making the Portuguese World Cup squad.
As well as the personal ambitions outlined here, Carvalho has previously spoken of setting this as a goal for the season.
Right now, that looks like a tall order for the former Fulham man. If his injury is nothing serious though – and it doesn’t seem to be – he’ll get further chances to impress over the two months before the tournament starts.
