Fabio Carvalho has sent a message to the Liverpool supporters after he scored his first goal for the club this afternoon.
Speaking after The Reds 9-0 win over Bournemouth via Liverpool FC on Twitter, Carvalho thanked the Liverpool fans for the atmosphere they created at Anfield.
“Hi reds, Fabio here, just want to say a massive thank you today for the support,” said the 19-year-old. “I’m really proud to score my first goal at Anfield, hopefully the first of many, and without you we could have never have done it today. Thank you very much.”
It’s a moment that the youngster will have been dreaming about since securing his move to Liverpool. And what a goal it was too, a sweetly struck volley into the bottom corner in-front of The Kop. Special.

Carvalho puts the cherry on a brilliant day for Liverpool
On a day of sheer positivity for Liverpool, Carvalho’s goal sticks in the mind as one of the top highlights.
The teenager was perhaps unlucky not to start the game following a couple of bright cameos recently. But in the end that didn’t matter, he still made sure he made his mark.
It’s worth mulling over the goal for a second, too. This wasn’t a simple tap-in or a fluke. The way Carvalho guided the ball into the bottom corner on the volley was majestic.
Yes, it came against a demoralised defence who had already shipped seven. But it still needed finishing off. And how.

Carvalho celebrated the goal as if it was breaking a tense deadlock, and well he might. His first goal coming on just his fifth appearance for his new team.
It shouldn’t be forgotten that on Carvalho’s big day, his mate Harvey Elliott also managed to bag a lovely effort, too.
There was a lot of talk last night around Liverpool bringing in a new midfielder in the next week. But both Elliott and Carvalho sent a reminder here that they are both proper options for Jurgen Klopp.
Onwards and upwards now for Carvalho. Having got the first goal out of the way, he’ll be desperate to get another taste of it.
