Liverpool can achieve some records vs Manchester United tomorrow as they head to Old Trafford. Here are three of the most impressive.
Liverpool vs Manchester United is always one of the biggest games of the season – and usually, the biggest. Monday’s is a particularly interesting one, too, as both teams look to get their campaigns on track.
The Reds go into it as big favourites, however, given United’s recent struggles. Not that those struggles are particularly new as Liverpool are in fantastic form against their old rivals. They can set a few records on Monday as a result – and here are three of the most impressive.

Five unbeaten
Should Liverpool avoid defeat, it would be five straight such games at Old Trafford. That would equal the club record set in 1927.
Back then, the rivalry simply wasn’t what it is now and Liverpool would make an incredible statement by going five unbeaten. That’s a level of dominance rarely seen in the fixture by either side.
Three straight
A win, though, would make it three consecutive wins at Old Trafford for Liverpool. The Reds have never managed that before and it would truly be the biggest statement they can make.
After all, going to your rivals ground and turning it into a consistent three points is about as good as it gets. United are on the verge of being another Everton, it seems.
Top scorer
Mohamed Salah can become the outright top-scorer for Liverpool against United with just one goal on Monday evening. He currently sits level with Steven Gerrard on nine total.
The Egyptian would also be just the second Liverpool player to score against United in four successive league games. Dick Forshaw managed that twice, in 1926 and 1927. Nearly 100 years on, Salah looks to match that milestone.
