Mohamed Salah has shared a memory of seeing Jurgen Klopp on the side-line after his hat-trick at Old Trafford last season.
Salah was speaking to Football Daily ahead of Monday’s trip to the same ground. The Egyptian says Klopp was laughing at his anger having missed a chance to score a fourth.
“I’d just scored a hat-trick and I think I had another chance after and I was like so angry, and I looked at the manager and he was like ‘stay clam, you’re going to score again, it’s fine,'” said the 30-year-old.
“I remember that all the time because his face was just laughing at my face like ‘stay calm you’ve just scored three goals,’ that’s the moment I remember the most.”

Liverpool counting on Mo on Monday
At the point of Salah’s hat-trick last October, he was undoubtedly the best player in the world. Straight off the back of his wonder-goals against Manchester City and Watford, Mo was playing at a ridiculous level. Had he added a fourth that day, no one would have been surprised.
Heading into Monday’s game he’s not quite firing on the same cylinders. Regardless, Salah loves to raise his game against the best sides in the league.
United may not be that at the moment, but they are still Liverpool’s biggest rivals in the country.
Having scored nine goals against Erik ten Hag’s side previously, one more will put him clear as Liverpool’s top Premier League scorer in the fixture.

As a player who loves to keep track of his accomplishments, this won’t have been lost on Salah.
From a Liverpool point of view that’s a good thing for Monday. Salah with a clear goal-scoring record in sight is a dangerous prospect.
The Reds will be without both Diogo Jota and Darwin Nunez for the game. That will put added pressure on Salah to get the goals for Liverpool. But that’s the kind of thing he thrives on.
Liverpool badly need the three points. Any added edge they can get, psychological or otherwise, they need to capitalise on.
