Curtis Jones shared his enjoyment of a video some Liverpool fans posted of a chance meeting with Jurgen Klopp.
Jones was reacting to a video on Twitter of some young fans speaking to Klopp outside a tyre repair shop. The Liverpool midfielder couldn’t believe that the fans addressed the manager as ‘lad.’
“Calling the gaffer “lad” like he’s one of the boys,” wrote Jones, alongside a couple of crying laughing emojis.
During the video, a fan can be seen asking Jurgen if he knows what Nike Air Max 110 trainers are. Despite the bizarre question, the Liverpool boss smiles and chuckles whilst being filmed. Good on you, Jurgen.
Klopp was made for Liverpool
It’s great to see Klopp casually on his day-to-day business out in Liverpool. Despite his superstar status, the German is as unassuming as they come.
Nearly seven years into his stay at the club, he is clearly incredibly comfortable in the city. Perhaps more importantly, his wife, Ulla, is also happy with life in Liverpool.
If the Klopp’s were at all keen to leave, then there’s no chance they would have recently extended their stay to potentially eleven years.

As the years go on, the more you come to realise how lucky we are to have this man in charge of our club. Not only is he a great football manager, but he fits perfectly with the values of the club, and Liverpool as a city.
It’s a rare thing in football for all those things to line up at once. Results come and go in football, and the first few of this season haven’t been great.
But bigger picture, we couldn’t be in safer hands than with Kloppo at the helm.
