Here are the five Liverpool games Thiago will now reportedly miss. The Spaniard picked up a hamstring problem against Fulham.

Liverpool didn’t have a good time against Fulham, dropping two points against a newly-promoted side. Coming out of the game, however, the bigger blow is undoubtedly losing Thiago.

The Independent reports that the Spaniard will likely miss around six weeks. That rules him out of some massive fixtures – and five Premier League games in total.

The next is against Crystal Palace at Anfield, of course. After that comes a trip to Old Trafford to face Manchester United – a game Liverpool will want their best XI for. Back-to-back home games against Bournemouth and Newcastle United follow. The latter of those could be a very tough test.

September 3rd is another notable one – the trip to Goodison Park. It’s one of the biggest games in any season and missing Thiago is a big blow.

After that, we can’t be clear what games Thiago will miss. Wolves on the 10th seems doubtful, at the very least, but Liverpool will hope to have him back for Chelsea away on the 18th.

It’s a massive six weeks for Naby Keita, then. He’s the player we expect to step up and fill the void here, now that he’s back from illness. This is essentially the opportunity he hoped for in a contract year for him.

And it’s worth mentioning that Keita’s best performance last season – and arguably ever, for Liverpool – came at Old Trafford last season. We know he can step up in big games and deliver massive showings.

But can he do it consistently? That’s the big question and one that will be answered while Thiago is out.
