Liverpool target Yeremy Pino has an offer from an unnamed Premier League club, according to reports. The Villarreal youngster looks a talent.
This comes from AS. They claim that Villarreal’s Yeremy Pino has received an offer from a Premier League side. Who that side is, however, remains unclear.
What is clear, though, is that Yeremy wouldn’t be cheap. He has a release clause of around £67m and Villarreal don’t particularly want to sell. The report suggests that even Yeremy isn’t sure about a move as he sees his current club as the ideal place for him to improve.
He’s a big talent, though, and that will naturally draw interest from around Europe. Potentially even from Liverpool.

El Desmarque in Spain had Liverpool down as one of several elite European clubs after Yeremy. That was back in March, however, and we haven’t seen too much since. Still, AS’s report mentions both Liverpool and Arsenal as having been linked in the past.
Thus it’s reasonable for them to assume that it’s one of those two clubs who have put an offer to Villarreal. We’re not so sure, though.
Liverpool do not need a right-winger at the moment as they already boast too many forwards to get on the pitch. The talent they have up top is such that two world-class players will usually be sitting on their bench at any given moment.
Spending a fortune on Yeremy doesn’t really make much sense, then. Perhaps in a year after Roberto Firmino’s contract expires – but that’s assuming Liverpool let that contract expire. There might not be real room for a new forward for some time yet.
But then, Yeremy might be a big enough talent that Liverpool take a chance on him. He’s a very impressive young player and one that Unai Emery labelled ‘complete’ for one four-goal performance last season. While he can’t see the move happening, we wouldn’t entirely rule it out – the Reds have surprised before.
